LLC SPE "Tetra" was founded in 1995 by experts of instrument plant "Electron", town of Zheltye Vody - the plant was the largest enterprise of the Soviet nuclear instrumentation, specializing in manufacture of dosimetric, radiometric, and spectrometric equipment for the Armed Forces and the Navy.
